About Bolero
A little background.
One of the most romantic dances in the American Rhythm style, Bolero borrows from both Waltz and International Rumba to create a gorgeous, sensual dance full of flowing movements. Originating in Spain in the 18th century, the original Spanish version of the dance was a derivation of popular dances of the time combined with ballet. The USA commercialization later added the “Cuban” factor to its overall style.
